The current kitchen appliance market is slowly but steadily evolving, focusing on delivering consumers appliances that are convenient, efficient, and personalised, with a preference for smart appliances.

Our Approach

While the home and kitchen appliance sector has made significant advances in recent years, it may be perceived as stagnant due to a combination of factors, including market saturation, limited consumer demand, and the complexity and cost of developing truly innovative products. We observed that the industry still has room for growth and innovation in the industry, particularly as consumer preferences and technology continue to evolve.

Mapping the right problems by observing users in actual environments is key. Here, we have to work in way that retains the essence of the existing object, but transform that into a unique solution without altering its personality. We use various methods like mind mapping, user empathy mapping and conducting design sprints to break down and ideate on every problem and evaluate consumer’s priorities.

Our solution to the problem was to maintain the spatula’s surface area while enhancing its functionality and introducing an additional dimension. Through the creation of paper mockups, we were able to determine the appropriate proportions and scale, as well as design the hinge mechanism and flip guide wires.

Agnisumukh: Revolutionizing Eco-Friendly Cooking With Patented Flameless Technology
After successfully designing, creating, and testing the new spatula, we were eager to see it in action in real-world use cases. We conducted field trials with a range of home cooks to evaluate the spatula’s performance in a variety of cooking scenarios. This resulted in a successful product that has made cooking easier and more enjoyable for many people.
Built for an easy pour
In order to maintain superior user experience, we designed a simple yet clean packaging which has a small footprint and contains all the components of the smart jar in clear compartments, this comes with an included user manual and charging cable.
