We were very much taken to the idea and vision that Mr & Mrs Parekh had and more impressed with the passion they showed to make this not only a successful product but also a very successful brand doing more than 40 crores in revenue as on Shark Tank India. Design a visual identity for the world's first massager backpack.
How can we create a new design language for a completely new category?
There has never been a massager backpack before and no database to ascertain its success in the market. There has also not been a need for such a product. To look at everything from nothing but a single line as a brief was a monumental challenge.
Figure out a way to make the massagers fit to various heights and human dimensions around the world.
How can we help the user reduce the learning curve when it comes to understanding and adapting to new tech?
The massagers have to be in the right place and adjust to various heights and backs to create the perfect impact. They also have to be at the right intensity to create comfort for the user. Engineering these to the right ergonomics would be a huge challenge, not to mention creating new a new IP.
Create a unified brand, product and packaging to put a unified message.
How do we create and design assets all touchpoints of a brand to create a successful Kickstarter campaign?
The biggest challenge was to create a fresh brand, come up with a brand name, create an origin story, complete the product design, engineering with prototypes as well as creating variants along with a full-blown Kickstarter campaign, all in less than 8 months of work to be able to get to market quickly.
Eume was able to capture the market due to their aggressive market pitches quickly due to its aggressive market pitches and also was able to create significant revenue due to its brand and product positioning. The revenue for the 1st year(2018-19): 3.2 Crores, the 2nd year(2019-20): 5.2 Crores, the 3rd year(2020-21): 12.9 Crores, 4th year(2021): 6.9 Crores.
