Design Drivers

We need to ensure that the Smart Home Systems meet the homeowner’s needs both now and in the future. As technology evolves, the system should adapt to incorporate new devices and services without requiring a complete overhaul.

Current Landscape

The smart home market is quite fragmented, with various products being introduced in all the emerging application areas. Each of these product categories has its own growth path and is supported by different wireless protocols like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee.

Our Approach

We are at a crossroads today, where the intersection of technology and design is causing an upheaval in the world of smart homes. It allows users to tap into high-tech conveniences that make their life more enjoyable, allow appliances to work with high energy efficiency, and offer high levels of safety, comfort and privacy.

We at Analogy believe that the success of smart homes is fundamentally dependent on their adoption and use by people in the context of daily life. We work closely with homeowners to understand their lifestyles, specific needs and preferences, including how they want to interact with their homes and what technologies they want to incorporate. We also take into account the architecture and layout of the home to ensure that the technology is seamlessly integrated and does not detract from the overall design aesthetic.

Design Drivers For Success

01 Utilise working concepts

Delving deep into the homeowner’s lifestyle to understand their habits, needs and preferences and exploring various smart devices and systems help us conceptualize a cohesive, functional, and aesthetically pleasing smart home.

02 Test Drive points

Running test trials helped us identify issues early on, refine functionality, ensure interoperability, guarantee safety and security, and save time and money in the building process.

03 Create a scalable system

Scalable systems accommodate the evolving needs of homeowners and advancements in technology while also providing a more customized and efficient smart home experience.

The major players in the smart home market include tech giants such as Amazon, Google, Apple, Samsung, and Microsoft, as well as startups and established companies in the security, energy management, and home automation industries. These companies are investing heavily in research and development to develop new and innovative smart home products and systems to meet the growing demand from consumers.

R.I.S.E Video Phone Door

Video Door phones have largely remained the same since they were introduced with a low-cost camera to prevent theft and also a heavy outer material to bare the weather. Mostly to cover the internals. Though these are very essential to the product functioning and lasting well, we thought we could address a different problem. Two-way communication.

As a studio, the one way we move forward both skill-wise and thought based is to ask questions and identify problems that are oblivious to the user. This helps us derive better solutions. The Video Door phone focusses mainly on two kinds of problems, emotional security, and privacy. You would want a device that is not overtly visible in securing your home or your packages but at the same time is smart enough to communicate with the person at your doorstep.

At Analogy, we believe that a smart home should be an extension of your lifestyle and reflect your unique preferences. That’s why we take a strategic approach to designing homes that integrate cutting-edge technology seamlessly.

We begin by researching and identifying key areas where smart technology can be incorporated, from lighting and temperature control to security and entertainment systems. Our talented team of designers then craft concept designs and 3D models that prioritize functionality and aesthetic appeal. We test our designs rigorously to ensure they are intuitive and easy to use before collaborating with builders and manufacturers to oversee the installation process. Our ultimate goal is to deliver a smart home experience that enhances your quality of life and makes daily tasks effortless.
